Why attend? Mentor programmes enable knowledge sharing and is a seamless method of giving technical graduates the chance to gain leadership skills. Graduates will take the lead in proactively building mentor-mentee relationship which will be a significant contributor to their pursuit of Chartered status. Additionally, mentors receive acknowledgement and accolades for their effort and have the prospect of passing on their essential expertise. Graduates can see their career path plotted out much clearer than before and, consequently, will be ready for progression at an earlier stage in their careers. After the course you’ll be able to: • Re-confirm how mentoring supports your own values and vision of your organisation • Understand mentoring essentials • Employ crucial communication skills to help the mentoring procedure enabling an open discussion with the mentee to support them clearly • Assess social connections by first accepting that people have different principles and drivers, then working on the imperative liaison practices to build a bond of trust • Focus on your own approach and conduct in order to appreciate the conduct of your mentee • Analyse your mentoring technique and acknowledge any areas for change • Efficiently plan mentoring meetings, understanding the seriousness of discretion and the keeping of records

From 1 August 2016 we will no longer accept payment via invoice and therefore the ‘pay later’ option has been removed from our checkout page. Payment for events must be made at the time of booking using a valid credit or debit card. We would like to thank you for your continued support and hope that you find this transition smooth and problem-free. 

Payment via invoice may granted in some exceptional cases. Payment by invoice may be requested by emailing [email protected] with the booking details. Please note bookings for all CIWEM events require agreement to payment terms and conditions. Please note all events and training bookings where payment is taken via invoice will incur a £25.00 (+VAT) administration fee
