Early Careers Network Presentation Sessions

CIWEM’s Early Careers Network has identified a need for early-career professionals to develop their presentation skills and confidence doing so, in a safe and encouraging space. To support individuals to develop these skills and provide peer-to-peer feedback the network will be hosting a series of mini-presentation sessions, here early-career professionals will get the opportunity to present on a topic of their choice and receive feedback from their peers. Topics might include key projects, research or pieces of work you have been involved in during your career to date.

If you are an early careers professional with less than 5 years relavent work experience and are looking to develop your presentation skills and network with peers this is for you!

Each group will have 10 participants in and individuals will be asked to present for 5 minutes each. Participants will be required to attend 2 sessions in total, with 5 participants  presenting per session. At the end of each session there will be opportunity for feedback giving where participants can learn from their peers, and share tips and advice. Sessions will be facilitated by the CIWEM Early Careers Network Steering Group. 

When?

Bring along your lunch and learn from your peers! Places will be offered on a first come first serve basis. Once all places have been filled, you will be placed on a waiting list. The dates are:

Group 1:

  • Session 1- Tuesday 10th August, 12-1pm
  • Session 2 - Tuesday 24th August, 12-1pm

Group 2:

  • Session 1 - Thursday 12th August, 12-1pm
  • Session 2 - Thursday 26th August, 12-1pm

Please note you will need to be available for both sessions within the group to be able to register.

Sessions will take place via Zoom Meeting, joining instructions will be sent to attendees prior to each session.

From 1 August 2016 we will no longer accept payment via invoice and therefore the ‘pay later’ option has been removed from our checkout page. Payment for events must be made at the time of booking using a valid credit or debit card. We would like to thank you for your continued support and hope that you find this transition smooth and problem-free. 

Payment via invoice may granted in some exceptional cases. Payment by invoice may be requested by emailing [email protected] with the booking details. Please note bookings for all CIWEM events require agreement to payment terms and conditions. Please note all events and training bookings where payment is taken via invoice will incur a £25.00 (+VAT) administration fee
