Use of network models for real-time operation


CIWEM’s Urban Drainage Group’s annual Training Day will build on the successes of previous events. This year, the theme will focus on using hydraulic modelling for managing and operating networks in real time. The day will focus on presentations and activities around:-

• How models can be used to operate and manage networks in real time;
• The benefits this can provide to existing assets to gain improved performance;
• What real-time information/data is required and how data can be used with confidence;
• The challenges faced with equipment and technology to gain reliable/robust information;
• Adding to the day, you will learn about real experiences of how organizations have successfully implemented real time operation and the benefits gained.

Delegates attending will have opportunity to undertake hands-on activities and discussion groups, testing out delegate’s ideas and theories. 

The training day is developed around the CIWEM competencies and so those attending will benefit from the day contributing towards CIWEM membership.

The delegate fee for the day is £90.00 plus vat which includes lunch and refreshments.

From 1 August 2016 we will no longer accept payment via invoice and therefore the ‘pay later’ option has been removed from our checkout page. Payment for events must be made at the time of booking using a valid credit or debit card. We would like to thank you for your continued support and hope that you find this transition smooth and problem-free. 

Payment via invoice may granted in some exceptional cases. Payment by invoice may be requested by emailing [email protected] with the booking details. Please note bookings for all CIWEM events require agreement to payment terms and conditions. Please note all events and training bookings where payment is taken via invoice will incur a £25.00 (+VAT) administration fee
